Eligibility
To enter, you must be a legal resident of the 50 United States or District of Columbia, at least 18 years old, and an authorized representative of a US high school or college marching band.
How to Enter
1. Go to metallicamarchingband.com during the Contest Period.
2. Choose from the list of 13 Metallica songs for your marching band to perform.
3. Record a 2023 video of your marching band performing one or more Metallica songs, with movement while playing instruments.
4. Upload the video to YouTube.
5. Email the video link and your information to marchingband@metclub.com, including your Category (Collegiate Division 1, Collegiate Division 2 & 3, or High School).
Prizes
Five amazing prizes are up for grabs:
– Collegiate Division 1 Prize: $75,000 worth of customized musical equipment.
– Collegiate Division 2 & 3 Prize: $40,000 worth of customized musical equipment.
– High School Prize: $15,000 worth of customized musical equipment.
– Fan Favorite – Collegiate Prize: $10,000 worth of customized musical equipment.

Entry period
The Contest runs from April 10, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. PST until November 16, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
Winner Selection
Winners will be chosen through two rounds of judging and public voting:
1. Round 1: Judges select the top 5 finalists from each Category based on Performance, Originality, and Musical Ability.
2. Round 2: Metallica members choose one winner for each Category from the finalists.
3. Public Voting: All entries will be displayed on the Contest website for the public to vote on their favorites.
